MK directs physical theater pieces that are created by their actors. They are known for their direction of solo work, most recently John Jarboe's Rose: You Are Who You Eat, which was commissioned through the Guggenheim Works and Process and toured from the Guggenheim to Under the Radar Festival (LaMaMa), Cultural DC, Woolly Mammoth Theater, Bethany Arts, FringeArts, and finally transformed into an installation in 2024 at the Fabric Workshop and Museum.  MK has also directed 12 solo shows for the Edinburgh Fringe favorite, Chris Davis, as well as being a fixture at Late Night Snacks, a pop-up venue of the Philadelphia Fringe Festival with a rotating cast of international cabaret acts. In 2013 MK won a Pew Grant to direct The Body Lautrec, which was developed at the National Puppetry Conference and the Mütter Museum of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. Other directing credits include shows commissioned by the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Tiny Dynamite, and cabaret legend Jess Conda.
